Go All In

Are you ready to plunge into entrepreneurship? Before you answer the first question, let me ask another. What is your biggest fear? I ask about your fear because I want you to recognize it. You may have more than one. That is okay. You are going to encounter some of your biggest fears on this journey. You are going to learn more about yourself than imaginable. It is critical to identify the fear. Once you admit the fear, you can begin to combat it. You will need to look deep within yourself as often as you need and find the strength to overcome. Please keep in mind that every day will not be perfect. You will make mistakes. You will learn lessons. Through every trial and tribulation, believe in yourself. Keep that belief alive. An unwavering self-belief is the key to succeeding. Dissatisfied with the reality I had created, I knew it was time to tap into my self-belief. Believe that what you have to offer is valuable. Believe that what you are seeking is seeking you.

One challenge many entrepreneurs face is learning how to balance their work and personal life. It can be tempting to devote all your time and energy to your startup, but neglecting self-care and other important aspects of your life can ultimately hinder your success. We’re on a journey toward living in our purpose.

To strike a healthy balance, set clear boundaries and prioritize your time; practice time management by creating a schedule for yourself. Be intentional about the time you set out to work. Give yourself time to rest! Rest is an important and overlooked aspect of this journey. If you are not resting, you are not working to your full potential. If you are always running half full, you cannot give your all when the time comes. Don’t underestimate the importance of community. Your schedule will become quite busy when you work for yourself, so intentionally planning your day leaves you with time to reconnect with those who love you. Rest does not always mean sleep. Rest your mind and spend time with those who you can unwind with. Make time to laugh, love and learn. Create the space and encourage yourself to nurture meaningful relationships. I’m challenging you to reach out and be present with the people you love.

Balancing work and life is just one aspect of entrepreneurship. Networking and maintaining healthy relationships with your community will take you far. Strive for impact and success within the communities you're a part of or want to be a part of.

Understand that some relationships formed on this journey are not strictly business. There are friendships and partnerships to experience. Allow yourself to learn about others on a deeper level. Find out what is missing in their community. Create ways that your services can improve the lives of those around you. By understanding their needs and concerns, you can tailor your business to improve service and nurture meaningful connections. I keep in mind that I work to serve my community. In return, my community uplifts and supports me.

Another key to success is to stay open-minded and willing to learn. The business landscape is constantly changing. You will need to adapt and evolve to be successful. That does not mean changing everything about yourself and your business. Pay attention to the trends directly affecting your business and work with them. The landscape constantly changing means you will feel unfamiliar sometimes. You will need to open yourself up and be uncomfortable. The discomfort will come with new experiences; embrace it.

So go ahead, leap into the unknown. The journey may not always be easy, but with self-belief and dedication, you will create a successful business that brings value to your community and yourself. I look forward to you joining my community as I lead LBH toward success. More importantly, I hope you continue to believe in yourself.

With Love,

Jasmine
